No one can pinpoint the exact moment the idea for E-Plan began.

Maybe it was when two young brothers spent their childhood in their father’s plumbing and heating shop. Maybe it was later, pot-washing in the back of a greasy spoon while their mum kept the place running with endless fry-ups.

Wherever it started, the seed was planted early.

By their mid-twenties, the ambition that had been building for years took shape. In 2013, the two brothers convinced their dad, who had already lived through more than enough bold ventures, to join them in one more. The vision was simple: do good work, look after people, and never walk past a problem.

What none of them knew then was just how far that philosophy would carry them.

As E-Plan’s reputation grew, so did the calibre of the people who joined. We’ve been fortunate to attract exceptional individuals from across the industry, people who saw our vitality, our momentum, and wanted to be part of the journey. And it’s those people who have carried the business through both the good times and the hard ones.

They helped take us from a small family outfit with two engineers and one electrician to a team of more than 300, delivering mechanical, electrical, refurbishment, and renewable services across the Midlands.

Along the way, we’ve weathered everything together: the power cuts, the rotating desks whenever we squeezed in someone new, and of course, the daily assault course that was Long Lane, a stretch of road with a personal vendetta against tyres and suspension.

Every challenge became part of our culture.
Every win became part of our identity.
And every person who joined added something to the story.

Now, as we move into our new headquarters at One Charter Court, we see this building for what it truly is:
a testament to everyone’s hard work and dedication, and a marker for the next stage of growth.

A home built for collaboration.
A space worthy of the team that powers this business.
And hopefully - this time - significantly fewer potholes.
